Is Chiropractic Suitable for me?

If you are alive yes. Chiropractic is suitable for all body types, all ages and all levels of health. It does NOT aim to treat conditions but to improve the function of the whole being, by improving function of the spine and the nervous system. If you are unable to get on and or off a treatment couch we may not be able to be as effective as otherwise expected.

The First Day

We will give you a thorough examination and consultation to find our if we are the best people suited to what you want and or need. It will include a scan using our Insight SubStation which will give us a relative but objective measure of your health function. We will then perform a series of tests to ascertain your Chiropractic Vital Signs. After this your Chiropractor will preform an examination to detect those areas that we can address in order to help you be the most amazing person you can be… that is if you want to.

Do we adjust on the First Day?

Usually if we agree that Chiropractic is something you would like to proceed with and it is deemed both safe and correct to do so.

Does Chiropractic hurt?

Usually no but please remember that sometimes if you are in a lot of pain then anything might hurt. Our practitioners are highly trained and experienced and aim to ensure you have the most comfortable and enjoyable experience possible.

Will I be sore the first night?

Quite often you will leave the first adjustment feeling improved. Sometimes though the focal area can elicit an inflammation reaction causing some discomfort for a few hours later on. Icing the area can help but it is very hit and miss as to who will need to do this.

How long is my first visit?

Usually about an hour. Subsequent visits are mercifully shorter and it is our aim to have you in and out in as convenient a time as possible.

Do I have to remove my clothes?

No. For gentlemen we may ask you to remove your shirt during the scanning process. For ladies we have gowns to wear for the brief examination period. During normal adjustment visits patients will normally remain clothed.
